With sea freight, as with any cargo, Van Thiel Transport looks at which type of transport suits your goods. Think FCL, LCL, conditioned transport, but also special packaging for fragile goods. When your sea freight arrives at the port, it will be unloaded or stored, for example in one of Van Thiel Transport’s partner cross-border warehouses or bonded warehouses. This depends on the final destination of your goods.

When your product enters the European market, it is unloaded and cleared by the driver. During customs clearance, customs formalities are handled. This applies to goods imported from outside the European Union.

Economical custom delivery to all destinations in Europe

After clearing and unloading, Van Thiel Transport ensures custom delivery of your goods, anywhere in Europe. The container is transported directly, door-to-door, to its final destination (Full Container Load). Or the cargo is transferred to a road transport most suitable for your cargo (Less Than Container Load). With each incoming container, we calculate which option is most advantageous for you.
